Dr. Prem Tanwar completed his Bachelors in Medicine & Surgery from Govt. Medical College, Rohtak, India. He undertook his training in Ophthalmology from AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences), New Delhi, India, which is the largest and most prestigious hospital in the region. He has advanced sub-specialty training in Complex Retinal surgery and diseases. He was a thesis guide for the Diplomat of National Board (DNB) and worked as a teacher and guide for the DNB students.
Dr. Prem has vast experience of over 25 years in Ophthalmology in the UAE & India including 17 years of administrative experience as Medical Director at West Delhi in Retina Center, New Delhi, India. He worked as Senior Resident and Fellow in Retina & Ocular trauma from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India for 3 years.
He has performed more than 13,000 successful cataract surgeries including TORIC and Multifocal IOLS, and more than 12,500 retinal and vitro retinal Surgeries. He also has experience in Ocular trauma including reconstruction and intra-ocular foreign body removal surgeries.
He has several publications to his name and has attended various national & international conferences.
