The Neonatology Unit at NMC Royal Hospital Sharjah has a 12 bedded NICU capable of handling Preterm babies more than 22 weeks gestation, Babies with Respiratory distress, Neonatal seizures, Birth asphyxia, Neonatal jaundice and Neonatal Sepsis. NICU has provision of two Isolation rooms.

High Flow Nasal Cannula, Bubble CPAP and Flow driven CPAP, SIPAP and Oxygen therapy
Whole body Cooling (therapeutic hypothermia) for Asphyxiated neonates
Transportation of babies from the Delivery room to the NICU in thermo-neutral temperature using Transport incubator/ Thermal mattresses
Transport incubator with ventilator for invasive and non-invasive ventilation like CPAP
Expertise in doing Exchange Transfusions for severe Neonatal Jaundice, PIC lines, Umbilical arterial and Umbilical venous lines and Thoracocentesis for pneumothorax
